Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply the City’s land use ordinances, Comprehensive Plan, and applicable state, county, and local regulations.
- Review development and land use applications, including plats, site plans, rezoning requests, variances, and permits.
- Coordinate application review with applicants, property owners, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare written reports, findings, and recommendations for the Planning Commission, Park Board, and City Council.
- Respond to public inquiries, prepare maps, and publish public notices.
- Maintain planning data.
- Provide staff support at meetings, including evening meetings.
This role offers the opportunity to directly shape the City’s growth and development while working in a collaborative municipal environment.
