The City of Northfield is seeking a motivated individual currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Law Enforcement, Criminology, or Criminal Justice program. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain on-the-street experience and public relations skills that police departments look for in new recruits.
In this position, you will perform essential public protection duties, serving as a visible presence in the community:
- Patrol Operations:
Monitor city parks, trails, the downtown area, and city facilities. - Code & Parking Enforcement:
Assist with parking enforcement and city code compliance. - Specialized Support:
Help with animal control, evidence processing, and inventory control. - Public Relations:
Conduct tours and assist with data entry and research.
