This role is hands‑on and cross‑functional, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and operations to bring new products from concept through validation and production support. It’s well‑suited for an engineer who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving and seeing designs move from CAD to real‑world use.

What

You’ll Do
  • Design and develop high‑performance pultruded fiberglass structural products, including overhead power line systems and composite poles.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies and drawings using Solid Works.
  • Prepare engineering drawings with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
  • Set up and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering data in the ERP system.
  • Manage revision control and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Perform tolerance stack‑up analysis to support robust designs.
  • Design, set up and execute mechanical testing of systems and components.
  • Support new product development efforts, including quotes, prototypes and production support.
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Operations and external customers.
  • Develop familiarity with the electrical power distribution and transmission industry.
  • Collaborate across teams and spend time supporting manufacturing activities as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Materials or Composites preferred).
  • Strong interest in structures, materials or composites engineering.
  • Desire for hands‑on product development and testing.
  • Experience with 3D modeling in Solid Works (parts, assemblies and drawings).
  • Working knowledge of GD&T (formal training is a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working cross‑functionally in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Internship or early‑career experience in product development is highly desirable.

The compensation range for this position is $66,265 – $103,500 annually. Final offers may vary based on several factors, including experience, skills and qualifications.
