We’re looking for a Summer Trainee – HW Reliability Engineering to join our hardware reliability team in Oulu for the summer. As a Summer Trainee, you’ll support hardware testing and validation activities under the guidance of experienced engineers. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with reliability and durability testing of wearable products, while learning how test results are used to improve real consumer devices.

Our summer trainee period is planned to be 4 months, timing can be agreed between 05/2026- 09/2026. The location of the position is in our Oulu office.

• Support reliability and qualification testing activities for Oura’s hardware products and accessories
• Assist in mechanical, environmental, and electrical stress testing (e.g. thermal cycling, vibration, humidity)
• Help with test setup, sample preparation, execution, and basic documentation
• Collect and summarize test data with support from senior engineers
• Participate in basic failure analysis and investigation activities
• Maintain clear test records and reports
• Collaborate with hardware, materials, manufacturing, and firmware teams as part of daily work

• Ongoing studies in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related engineering field
• Interest in hardware testing, reliability, and product durability
• Basic understanding of engineering test methods through coursework or student projects
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and work hands‑on in a lab environment
• Good written and spoken English
• Ability to work on‑site in Oulu for the duration of the summer trainee period

• Previous lab, testing, or engineering project experience
• Interest in consumer electronics, wearables, or small form‑factor devices
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, or technical documentation

Our process is following:

We base our salaries on TEK’s recommendation salaries for summer internships.
