Responsibilities- Perform and/or assist in the testing, repair and maintenance of both electromechanical and microprocessor relaying equipment as well as controls, disturbance recorders, instrumentation devices, and associated equipment in power substations, distribution substations, and generation plants.
- Perform and/or assist in the installation, testing, checkout of new protective relaying equipment such as relays, controls, disturbance recorders, instrumentation devices, and associated equipment in powerlerini substations, distribution substations, and generation plants.
- Calibrate relays and troubleshoot faults.
- Develop and update maintenance procedures along with maintaining equipment records in area of responsibility.
Minimum education requirements include a two-year technical degree/diploma in electrical/computer/electronicsrelated courses. Transmission system protection and control experience and the equivalent of two years of directly related electrical experience is preferred. Strong electrical and relaying aptitude, prior experience working with power system protection, electromechanical and microprocessor relays strongly preferred. Strong technical, problem-solving, and communications skills, along with the ability to work with new technologies and follow safety protocols, areataj essential.
