NOW HIRING:Millerbernd Manufacturing in Winsted, MN
We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter 2 to join our Transportation & Infrastructure (Pole) team. The Mechanical Drafter 2 is responsible for utilizing CAD systems to develop detailed drawings that meet the needs of external customers, manufacturing engineering, operations, and supply chain, while adhering to company and industry standards. This is an onsite opportunity in Winsted, MN.

Location: onsite in Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $25.50 – 30.00 per hour (Non-Exempt)

Shift
Schedule:
1st shift Monday – Friday Business Hours
Shift Differential: 1st shift - N/A
Responsibilities- Follow standard work practices to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings
- Apply modeling and drafting design protocols, conventions, and industry standards
- Develop detailed drawings that support efficient and effective manufacturing methods
- Collaborate with team members to help minimize product variation
- Produce detailed and accurate drawings based on CAD models, plans, or concepts, with a focus on standardized designs
- Apply established standard work processes to ensure effective drafting and detailing
- Maintain CAD models and drawing databases to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Provide drafting support for both new and legacy parts
- Review and verify drawings for accuracy and compliance with established standards
- Associate degree in CAD or a closely related technical field, or work experience in place of education
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with CAD software, preferably Solid Works
- Ability to interpret mechanical, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and professional work habits
- Solid mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, geometry, and algebraic concepts
- Collaborative and cooperative approach within a team environment
