About Hydro Engineering

Hydro Engineering, located 40 miles southwest of Minneapolis, is a manufacturer of large agricultural and water transfer equipment. We are searching for a talented, mid-level Engineer to add to our current, exceptional team. Since we are a small company, a potential candidate will work with all areas of engineering, i.e. design/development, testing, quality analysis and manufacturing.

This position provides a rare opportunity to work with, and be mentored by Hydro’s CEO, a proven and successful business leader. This position also allows working in other areas of business outside of engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design custom equipment according to customer’s needs.
• Develop innovative new products and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues in manufacturing, products in the field and internally.
• Create complete engineering build drawings for all designs.
• Assist with Product Management, Sourcing, Purchasing and other areas outside of Engineering.
• Research competitor’s products in the industry.
• Work directly with customers to develop products based, address issues and learn the pumping process.

Qualifications

• BS in Agriculture or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in Solid Works or other 3D CAD.
• Familiar with Ag or other types of heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform statics and machine design calculations.
• Understanding of fluid and thermal dynamics.
• Understanding of development process, concept, calculations, design, testing and manufacturing.
• Desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities.
• Ability to create full engineering build drawings.
