Northland Community & Technical College (NCTC) seeks a visionary and student-centered Agribusiness Instructor who is enthusiastic about shaping the next generation of agricultural leaders. As a member of a collaborative AFNR department and a vibrant college community, the instructor will play a key role in enhancing current programs and exploring forward‑thinking possibilities—ensuring NCTC remains on the cutting edge of agricultural education.
The successful candidate will deliver instruction across General Agriculture, Animal Science, Food Systems, and foundational AFNR curriculum, integrating innovative teaching methods, field-based learning, and technology‑rich experiences that reflect modern ag practices such as sustainability, livestock systems, agribusiness, and companion animals. In addition to teaching, this faculty role includes significant involvement in curriculum development, assessment, and program improvement. The instructor will have opportunities to strengthen existing stackable credentials—from the General Agriculture Certificate to the Animal Science Diploma and AAS—and contribute to the exploration of new programming aligned with workforce trends and community needs.
This includes integrating interdisciplinary content, strengthening industry partnerships, and utilizing creative instructional approaches that support diverse learning styles and backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications Education Requirement- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agriculture education, business, finance, economics or marketing.
- Four full‑time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience in agribusiness. Recency requirement.
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full‑time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
