Scheduled Hours/days: 8 hours/day M-F.
- As a Special Education Teacher at Northfield Public Schools, empower students with disabilities by developing and delivering innovative, research-based specialized instruction tailored to their unique strengths.
- Serve as a dedicated IEP Manager and the primary point of contact for families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design personalized educational plans that pave the way for student success.
- Lead an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that fosters student responsibility, while providing mentorship and instructional guidance to a supportive team of paraprofessionals.
- Act as a vital consultant and community partner, sharing professional expertise to adapt learning environments and implement effective interventions to ensure each student has the tools they need to thrive.
- Maintain a focus on professional growth and staying current with instructional technologies and trends in the field.
- Bachelor s degree in Special Education and a valid Minnesota teaching license specific to your area of responsibility.
- Strong foundation in child development theories and the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, grade-appropriate lessons.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work with parents, staff, and administrators to advocate for student success.
- Completion of student teaching internship.
- Commitment to staying current with instructional technologies and trends in the field.
- Pay Rate/Range: NEA Agreement BA-$57,681 - MA40-$95,320. Base pay DOQ
