Location: Multiple Positions District-Wide.
Scheduled Hours/days: 8 hours/day M-F.

Responsibilities
  • As a Special Education Teacher at Northfield Public Schools, empower students with disabilities by developing and delivering innovative, research-based specialized instruction tailored to their unique strengths.
  • Serve as a dedicated IEP Manager and the primary point of contact for families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design personalized educational plans that pave the way for student success.
  • Lead an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that fosters student responsibility, while providing mentorship and instructional guidance to a supportive team of paraprofessionals.
  • Act as a vital consultant and community partner, sharing professional expertise to adapt learning environments and implement effective interventions to ensure each student has the tools they need to thrive.
  • Maintain a focus on professional growth and staying current with instructional technologies and trends in the field.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Special Education and a valid Minnesota teaching license specific to your area of responsibility.
  • Strong foundation in child development theories and the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, grade-appropriate lessons.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work with parents, staff, and administrators to advocate for student success.
  • Completion of student teaching internship.
  • Commitment to staying current with instructional technologies and trends in the field.
Pay and Benefits
  • Pay Rate/Range:  NEA Agreement BA-$57,681 - MA40-$95,320. Base pay DOQ
  • Compensation/Benefits/Perks: Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision;
    Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability Coverage; 403(b) Plan and District Match;
    District Paid Life Insurance; $1,000 National Stipends.
