Salary:
Salary and benefits are part of the Teacher Master Agreement.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a valid MN ASL license for grades 6-12.

Qualifications:

* Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching

* Ability to establish and maintain standards of student behavior

* Proven leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, students and parents

* Seeks opportunities to improve their practice through coaching feedback and ongoing reflection

* Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate thoughts and ideas with accuracy and clarity, ability to communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, student goals and abilities and overall experience in their classroom

* Calm demeanor and a strong passion for working with kids

Responsibilities:

* Identify the needs of students through formal and informal assessments

* Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth

* Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress

* Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies

* Foster a community where all people are valued, respected, seen and heard

* Inspire robust academics, critical and creative thinking and continuous personal growth

* Create world-class learning experiences that integrate multiple perspectives

* Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations

* Attend department, school and parent meetings or functions

* Other job-related duties as assigned
