Scheduled days/hours: Standard hours are 6.75 hours/day M-F with the opportunity to work part-time or add additional hours.
Qualifications: Possess at least two years of college credits (60 credits) through an accredited institution, an associate's or higher degree, or a passing score on an approved assessment demonstrating the ability to assist with instruction in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics, and school readiness (the district can provide support for candidates needing to complete the assessment). Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of child development and behavioral management strategies, skills in building positive rapport with students and adapting instruction to individual needs, and the ability to remain calm while managing challenging behaviors.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a special education team and maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policies.
Pay Rate/Range: $21.86/hr - $23.51/hr.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of licensed special education staff, the Educational Assistant - Personal Care Assistant provides meaningful support to students with special needs by assisting with daily living activities, health-related functions, and mobility throughout the school day. This rewarding position involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, fostering positive student behaviors, and reinforcing instructional concepts through one-on-one and small group instruction.
The assistant works collaboratively with teachers and therapists to adapt curriculum, support the use of assistive technology, and help students achieve their IEP goals while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
