JOB - ABE Teacher - Part-time position beginning on or around 8/10/2026.
Location: Northfield Community Education Center
Scheduled hours/days: As needed, up to 550 hours/year.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Education.
- Valid MN Teaching License, Adult Basic Education licensure preferred.
- Knowledge of Adult Basic Education content standards.
- Knowledge of adult learning and unique needs of adult learners, especially English language learners.
- Previous experience teaching Adult Basic Education.
NEA Agreement BA-$57,681 - MA40-$95,320. Base pay DOQ.
Compensation/Benefits/PerksThis position is not eligible for benefits.
DeadlineOpen Until Filled — EOE (2/24/2026) Employment is contingent upon completion of a background check.
Responsibilities- Teach Adult Basic Education classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at the Northfield Community Education Center.
- Daily planning and developing lesson plans for students and volunteers who assist the class.
- Assess, evaluate and respond to student performance and needs. Participate in professional development and staff meetings, as required.
