Our district is comprised of one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.

Position Overview & Responsibilities

Responsible for providing specialized instruction and support for children with disabilities ages Birth-3 years old and their families. Coordinate and conduct multidisciplinary team assessments of a child, the child's family, and develop integrated goals and outcomes for the IFSP. Consult with parents, other service providers, and representatives of appropriate community agencies to ensure the effective provision of services. The position is full time, but applicants seeking a part-time position are also encouraged to apply.

FTE: 1.0 (flexible)

Contract:

186 days in a full school year. If new teacher starts soon enough, with good attendance, the teacher may be able to earn a "year" (90 student-contact days) towards tenure during the '25-26 school year, if appropriately licensed, depending on start date.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching. Requires licensure from the State of Minnesota in Early Childhood Special Education; must be able to kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and lift up to 30 pounds.

Salary

Starting salary range = $47,345-$89,183. Salary range listed is a full-year salary, which will be prorated for starting mid-way through the school year. For more information, please see the Certified Master Contract .
