• Teach students in a Spanish language immersion program.
• Analyze, design, and prepare course objectives and outlines according to state and school curriculum guidelines and requirements.
• Communicate closely with parents and encourage involvement regarding program goals, classroom activities, homework, school functions and student progress.
• Demonstrate English language proficiency to communicate with parents.
• Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to create an effective learning atmosphere.
• Evaluate pupil’s academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
• Identify pupil needs and make appropriate referrals; develop strategies for individual education plans (IEPs) as needed.
• Maintain a professional workday as defined by building and contract.
• Communicate regularly with parents outside the normal classroom day via Skyward, newsletters, and phone calls.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors; participate in professional learning communities and district meetings.
• Integrate technology into instruction.
• Teach grades Kindergarten through Second Grade in Elementary School.

Requires Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Education or a related field. Must be eligible for a K-6 Elementary Teaching License. Must be fluent in English and Spanish, both oral and written communications.
