JOB  - Instructor Assistant and Swim Assistant

Part‑time recreation positions beginning 09/01/2025 – 05/31/2026.

Location: Northfield Community Education Center

Scheduled hours/days: will vary depending on the program.

• Applicant must be 16 to apply.
• Desire to invest in individual achievement.
• Desire to provide an organized learning environment.
• Evidence of relationship building with youth.
• Evidence of specific sport or program knowledge and experience.
• Evidence of initiative taking and self‑directing.

Pay Rate/Range: $15.02/hr – $16.37/hr.

Compensation/Benefits/Perks: Position does not qualify for benefits.

Deadline: 05/31/2026. EEO employment is contingent upon completion of a background check.

• Follow the lead of the program supervisor, and assist with programming.

• Arrive early, know and fully execute the plan for each day, engage 100% throughout the program, teach general disciplines of each activity, enhance skill development, build relationships with youth, and communicate as needed with parents/guardians.

• Show enthusiasm and create fun, positive experiences through words, actions, and non‑verbal cues.

• Keep track of time worked and record on timesheet.

• Openly communicate with the recreation coordinator in a timely manner regarding vacation requests and program issues.
