Vire Health Oy is a Finnish health‑tech company that helps people time their activity, recovery and sleep for better health. The Vire Clip sits discreetly at the waist – near the body’s core – and, together with the Vire app, turns signals from core temperature, breathing, and movement into clear timing guidance. Vire was founded in 2021 as a spin‑off from LUT University research and is headquartered in Finland.
Vire is going to market in Q4 2026 and is currently raising its Seed round.
We're now looking for a Product Experience Lead (App) to join the team and work towards launching the Gen1 version of the Vire Clip. In this role, you will co‑own the app experience with the CEO and turn our science and hardware into a clear, emotionally resonant, habit‑forming product. You'll define and prototype the signature moments of Vire – and lead a small team to make them real.
Howyou’ll contribute App experience ownership & product direction
You will own the day‑to‑day product experience of the Vire app – what it does, how it feels, and how it evolves. You will report to the CEO, who sets the product vision and overall strategy; you translate that into concrete experience decisions, interaction patterns, and design direction.
Activation & early habit formationOwn the onboarding and first‑week experience end to end. Ensure new users quickly understand what Vire is, why timing matters, and how to act on guidance without manuals, tutorials or interpreting raw metrics. Design for early trust and daily habit formation, while keeping the long‑term health journey at the core through relevant, accurate and delightful everyday guidance.
Turn fuzzy ideas into concrete flows, wireframes, prototypes and narrative concepts (e.g. Body Story cards, timing guidance, daily views). Lead and coordinate UX and visual design work (internal and external), ensuring outcomes stay true to the product vision and are buildable.
Experience pod leadership & collaboration with engineeringAct as product/design lead for a small experience pod (Head of CX, designers, app engineers). Produce clear specs and priorities for engineering, work closely with VP Engineering and app developers so what ships matches the intended experience.
Work with our Head of CX to design light‑weight user tests, interviews and betas, and use insights to refine concepts. Use those insights to prioritise a focused roadmap: what we build now, what waits, and what gets dropped.
Design system and visual/interaction qualityEstablish the foundational design patterns and interaction principles (components, typography, motion language) that maintain quality as the app evolves. Guard the visual and interaction quality bar: where we use animation, how we use colour and text, how information is layered for users.
What you’ll bringWe’re looking for an experienced product designer who has shipped consumer‑mobile apps and knows how to turn complexity into clear, meaningful experiences. You think in journeys, make sharp product trade‑offs, and care about real outcomes – building focused, high‑quality products in close collaboration with engineering.
We hope that you have:
- 7+ years of hands‑on product design experience building and shipping consumer‑grade mobile applications, with clear ownership over end‑to‑end user experiences.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end to end ownership of real shipped products, including problem framing, key design decisions, iteration based on user feedback and the final outcomes in users’ hands.
- Good skills in interaction design and flows; comfort working in tools like Figma and building clickable prototypes.
- Ability to take a complex physiological model and translate it into simple, layered stories people can understand and act on.
- Confidence saying no: you can weigh user value, business needs and technical cost, and pick what truly matters for Gen
1. - Experience working closely with app and backend engineers, and taking a product from early concepts through Gen1 launch and iteration.
Additionally valued (but not required):
- Hands‑on implementation or prototyping experience (e.g. basic front‑end / motion prototyping)
- Experience in health tech, wearables or…
