Tetra Pak’s ambitious Cheese and Powder Division, a leading supplier of cheese production lines, is looking for a Future Talent – Junior Cheese Technologist. As our team is growing, we are now looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our team. In this position, you will develop and deliver technical solutions to our customers as part of the pre-projects and projects team, and support in all phases of our projects.

As the new Future Talent – Junior Cheese Technologist for our cheddar and mozzarella portfolio, you will support the company’s Cheese operational and sales team. This opportunity offers unlimited career growth with an industry leader.

The position is based in Winsted, MN and reports to the Manager Line Solution Cheese.

You will travel up to 25% of your time domestically as well as internationally.

• Learn about Cheddar & Mozzarella cheese equipment technology.
• Assist with commissioning cheese equipment into full production mode and handover of cheese lines.
• Support customer staff in setting up and optimizing machine parameters and cheese making recipes.
• Support other cheese technologists in other cheese categories like Fresh cheese, (semi) Hard cheese and industrial pasta filata (spun paste) cheese.
• Learn about and later train Tetra Pak and customers’ staff members in the functionality and operation of cheese make equipment and lines.
• Support our sales teams by presenting Tetra Pak value added propositions for specific customer solution in the Cheese area.
• Understand customer business needs and transfer them into fitting processing solutions and matching performance targets and pay-back calculations.
• Support the drafting and negotiation of contracts with co-workers, suppliers and customers.
• Help Sales teams to convince customers or to improve existing or develop new applications.
• Assist with audits and surveys at customer site to understand the technological and business needs of the customer.

• A Bachelor’s / University degree e.g. in the area of Food Technology, Cheese Technology, Dairy Science, Food Science, Chemical engineering or Microbiology.
• Finished or will finish your studies between May 2024 and June 2026

• Ideally understanding of cheese portfolio (cheese vats, cheddaring machines, blockformers, cooker-stretchers…), practical cheese manufacturing, cheese technology, milk processing.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive mindset.
• Fluent English skills (written and spoken).
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.

• Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $58,700 – 78,000 USD
• Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay):
  Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
