Description
The Guest Services Representative position plays an active role in working with members and guests of the Rookery Activity Center. This position will be responsible for enrolling new members, cash handling, answering questions, directing members and guests, enforcing policies and maintaining a clean and safe space.
DUTIES

Provide excellent customer service to members and guests so that all feel safe and welcome.

Interact with the public, co-workers, and supervisors in a professional manner in person and over the phone.

Check in members and guests and direct them to desired spaces in the building.

Educate potential members regarding membership features, benefits, and program information.

Enroll new members and operate a computer and point of sale system.

Reconcile cash through cash handling procedures.

Assist members and guests by answering questions about membership, program, services, and policies in person and over the phone.

Enforce all Rookery Activity Center policies, rules and regulations for members and guests.

Perform general cleaning duties.

Complete opening and closing reports and procedures.

Maintain timesheet with accurate number of hours worked.

Find a substitute to work shift if a planned absence is necessary.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Desire to work around a diverse group of people.

Ability to be trained.

Ability to answer questions and resolve problems with a focus on customer service.

Significant knowledge and ability to operate a computer.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Must comply with organizational and departmental policies.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a part-time position. Hours will vary based on Activity Center hours and employee's availability.

Rookery Activity Center hours are Monday-Friday 5:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday - Sunday 6:00 am to 8:00 pm.
