Accounting Specialist – Payables & Collections

Meeker Energy is accepting applications for a fulltime Accounting Specialist - Payables & Collections. Meeker Energy provides electric and broadband internet service and is located in Litchfield, MN.

Primary duties include

• accounts payable processes including monthly and annual closing
• processing of invoices from payment authorization to vender payment and care of vender files
• responsible for the collection process including record-keeping, contacting for disconnection, and directing members to available resources
• preparation of monthly sales and use tax reports, filing and payment
• assist with general accounting activities and annual budget preparation as needed

The successful candidate must

• work well with a team
• have exceptional communication, problem-solving and organizational skills
• be able to work within strict timelines
• be capable of learning industry software

Professionalism and confidentiality are a must.

Training/

Experience:

Minimum two-year post-secondary education or equivalent experience is preferred. Two years of experience with accounting procedures. Computer training or experience with Microsoft products.
