Accounting Specialist

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a financial services partner located near the Plymouth area needing to add to their Accounting Team!

• Pay: $55,000-$60,000/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, and payment runs.
• Manage accounts receivable: invoicing, cash application, and collections follow‑up.
• Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month‑end close activities (journal entries, accruals, reporting).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Support audit requests and compliance activities.
• Identify process improvements and help streamline accounting workflows.
• Provide customer service to internal and external partners regarding billing, payments, and account status.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or finance experience; AP/AR experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
