Entry Level Accountant

Location: Saint Paul

Description

Robert Half has a rewarding contract position open for an Entry Level Accountant. In this position, your responsibilities will include data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. You will report to the Accounting Manager, work with a dynamic team, and enjoy the opportunity for career growth. This position is perfect for new accounting/finance graduates!

Responsibilities

- Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct

- Carrying out other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned

- Prepare journal entries monthly

- Assisting with audit fieldwork for both financial and operational audits

- Investigating and correcting account discrepancies

- Helping with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

Requirements

- BS/BA degree in Accounting (or related)

- Exposure to Quick Books or other ERP system highly desired

- Intermediate Excel knowledge (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups) preferred

- Account reconciliation experience required

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and listening)

- Great attention to detail
