Summary

Drive a truck (Must have Class A CDL) to transport materials in a raw or packaged form, to and from specified destinations such as plants, construction sites, offices, or within industrial yards by performing the following duties. Provides assistance to the warehouse in receiving, stocking, filling orders, and general maintenance, and cleaning in the warehouse.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Delivery Coordinator and deliver products to the correct destination by identifying the destination, selecting the route, and driving the vehicle.
  • Properly load product and material on company delivery trucks to prevent damage during shipment, double‑checking against shipping papers with another warehouse employee for accuracy.
  • Deliver and unload product at customer's premises, collect payment if COD, and obtain a signature for receipt of goods delivered.
  • Inspect the delivery truck daily—checking tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water—and complete the Vehicle Maintenance Request form as required.
  • Represent Indelco Plastics by wearing company‑authorized clothing, which includes a telephone on a day‑to‑day basis. Clothing should be clean and changed daily.
  • Maintain an updated truck driver log, all necessary paperwork, physicals when requested, and any other legal requirements to drive.
  • Maintain safe driving practices at all times, noting road conditions and product load, complying with Indelco's policies and procedures, and highway rules and regulations.
  • Note any discrepancies or damaged product to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain the safety of the building, work area, and other employees by performing all duties within established safety guidelines.
  • Assist Warehouse as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Skills
  • Above‑average human relations skills, including the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Accurate and detail‑oriented, with good mathematical aptitude.
  • Self‑motivated, demonstrating the ability to work consistently and under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to locate missing product in the warehouse. Also, must be able to backtrack what other employees have done in placing or receiving items.
  • Valid driver's license.
