V3 Sports is a nonprofit located in North Minneapolis, focused on elevating our community through wellness, fitness, and education. Since 2007, we have been serving over a thousand families thanks to our partners, donors, and community members.

V3 Sports was founded as a nonprofit in 2007 with the mission to elevate our community through wellness, fitness and education. In 2024, Phase One of the V3 Center opened—a 40,000 square foot health and wellness center that will grow as a North Minneapolis community asset and a regional destination. Phase One provides water access, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, physical rehabilitation, and healthy food offerings.
Phase Two is being funded to become a regional destination for sporting events, career fairs, and community events that support economic stability. The V3 Center will provide programming for Northside residents that supports career and economic aspirations and helps build skills for success.
Wages and Benefits
$30 per hour. Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST). The organization sponsors a retirement plan with a 4% employer match and immediate vesting.
A Typical Day in the Life...
A typical day for a Group Fitness Instructor at V3 Sports involves leading high-energy, inclusive workouts that motivate members of all fitness levels in a safe and supportive environment, and will include:
- Lead safe, effective, and high-energy group fitness classes designed for a wide range of fitness levels
- Offer modifications and progressions so every participant can succeed and feel supported
- Design and deliver class plans that reflect V3 Sports mission and inclusive approach to wellness
- Foster a welcoming, motivating environment by building strong relationships with members
- Ensure proper use and care of equipment, maintaining cleanliness and safety before and after each class
- Actively promote group fitness offerings to boost participation and engagement
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends and pursue ongoing professional development
- Monitor and track class attendance to support program evaluation and improvement
Who You Are
- You have a strong ability to engage and motivate groups with positive energy and confidence.
- You take pride in delivering excellent customer service and creating a warm, welcoming environment.
- You're skilled at adapting workouts to meet the needs of participants at all fitness levels.
- You know how to observe form and provide respectful, constructive feedback to support participant safety.
- You understand proper exercise techniques and use your knowledge to prevent injury and improve results.
- You bring enthusiasm and professionalism to every class, inspiring others through your energy.
- You're proactive in promoting your classes and helping build a strong community of participants.
- You show up consistently and on time, recognizing that reliability is essential to the role.
- You hold a Group Fitness Instructor Certification from an NCCA-accredited organization (ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, AFAA, or NETA), and/or have specialty certifications such as Yoga, Pilates, or Dance Fitness.
- You are able and willing to maintain current CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP certifications. (For new hires, training will be provided during onboarding.)
