Engineering Manager; AI Product

A growing AI-driven product engineering team is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to help shape the future of legal technology. This team is building an AI-powered search platform that enables lawyers to form stronger opinions on their cases, transforming the way legal professionals approach research and decision-making.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll serve as both a player-coach and technical lead. You’ll inherit and manage a team of 4–8 engineers, drive the delivery of highly scalable applications, and collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, design, and the wider business. The role is based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, with a hybrid working model.

Legal AI

$180,000-$220,000 base + bonus + RSUs

• Strong background in software engineering with proven experience designing and building scalable systems
• Upward career trajectory into leadership, with at least 3 years managing and mentoring engineering teams
• Ability to contribute technically—stepping in to code and guide architecture decisions when needed
• Excellent communication skills for working across product teams and business stakeholders
• Experience in modern backend frameworks (e.g., Python/Django/Flask/FastAPI) and frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Dev Ops practices, and agile methodologies
• Exposure to data engineering, MLOps, or AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Hugging Face) is highly valuable

• Competitive base salary in the range of $180,000–$220,000 plus bonus and RSUs (target ~$200k total comp)
• Sign-on bonus available for relocation to the Twin Cities area
