Vending Service Technician

C&S Vending Company is hiring a full‑time Vending Service Technician to work Monday through Friday with a 7:00 a.m. start. The technician drives a company vehicle servicing customers in the MN Twin Cities metro area.

The Vending Service Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining micro‑market kiosks, coolers, and automated vending equipment—including food, snack, beverage, and coffee machines. Responsibilities include responding promptly to service calls, diagnosing electrical and mechanical malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring machines are clean and functional.

The role requires knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems to diagnose and fix issues efficiently. The technician must be a strong communicator, provide excellent customer service, and use hand and power tools to repair parts.

The position offers a competitive salary of $55,000–$65,000 per year depending on experience, a salaried role with up to 45 hours per week, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, and hospitalization insurance, company‑paid life insurance, paid time off (vacation, personal, sick, and safe time), paid holidays, and a 401(k) match.

  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driving: 5‑year driving experience preferred.
• Licenses:
  Valid non‑CDL Class D driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Age: 21+ years.

  Previous experience troubleshooting, repairing vending machines and coffee units preferred; equipment repair is required.

  Skills:
  
  Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and refrigeration; ability to use mechanical equipment and hand tools like drills.
• Physical Ability:
  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently and perform all physical requirements.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Strong problem‑solving, customer service, communication, and ability to work independently.
• Background Screening:
  Ability to pass a DOT physical exam, clean criminal, and good credit history.

• This is a mobile role requiring driving to various locations throughout the day.
• Work may occur indoors or outdoors in high‑traffic or warehouse environments.
• Mandatory on‑call rotation for emergency repairs on nights and weekends.

Vending Service Technician requires a clean driving background for the past 3 years (no DUIs or major violations) as you will be driving a company vehicle and must meet the requirements of our commercial insurance company. The position requires a clean national, state, and county criminal history, as a service technician has access to customers' locations. Must have the ability to pass a credit check, as a service technician has access to cash.
