Working Superintendent (Residential Remodeling - Hands-On Leadership Role)

Are you a skilled carpenter ready to take full ownership of residential remodeling projects? In this role, you lead the job site, coordinate trades, guide homeowners through the remodeling process, and stay hands‑on with the work.

Founded in 2008, Hanson Design Build Remodel is a design‑build remodeler serving the Twin Cities. We specialize in older homes, complex renovations, and thoughtfully executed custom spaces. As a Working Superintendent, you are the primary field leader on assigned projects. You oversee daily jobsite activity, coordinate trades, communicate with homeowners, and ensure work meets Hanson standards. While advanced technical skills will be trained, we expect you to bring leadership presence, ownership mentality, and sound judgment.

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations on assigned residential remodeling projects
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors to maintain workflow and project timelines
• Perform hands‑on carpentry work as needed (framing, structural modifications, finish work, punch work)
• Review plans and specifications to ensure accurate field execution
• Monitor jobsite quality and ensure work meets company standards
• Communicate regularly with homeowners regarding progress, scheduling, and next steps
• Identify and address field issues proactively to prevent delays or rework
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Collaborate with the Project Manager on schedule updates and project coordination
• Document daily jobsite progress, changes, and key communications
• Ensure projects stay aligned with scope, schedule, and company expectations

• Strong residential carpentry foundation (framing, remodeling, structural awareness)
• Comfortable leading trades and making on‑site decisions
• Clear, calm communicator—especially when things don’t go perfectly
• Organized and forward‑thinking
• Values structure, systems, and accountability
• Balances client satisfaction with protecting company standards
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation

Our projects are primarily in the core Twin Cities metro—primarily the downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, not far‑northern exurbs.

• $40–$45 per hour, with room above for exceptional leadership and experience

Salary: $40–$45 per hour.
