The problems we need you to solve
As we continue expanding across Minnesota
, we need experienced, licensed electricians who can safely and efficiently install, service, and maintain residential standby generator systems. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ homes are powered safely, reliably, and in full compliance with Minnesota electrical code.
Your responsibilities
- Perform electrical work related to residential standby generator installations
, including transfer switches, service equipment, and load management - Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain generator systems in and around the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area
- Ensure all work complies with the Minnesota Electrical Code
, local AHJ requirements, and company standards - Coordinate with internal operations teams, inspectors, utilities, and homeowners
- Accurately document work performed using company systems and procedures
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency service needs, including severe weather events
- File and support Generac warranty claims in the field as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite at all times
Required qualifications
- Active Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License (required)
- Strong working knowledge of residential electrical systems, service equipment, and NEC/Minnesota Electrical Code
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift equipment, work outdoors, and perform physical jobsite tasks
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with residential standby generators or transfer switch installations
- Generac technician certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience coordinating inspections with Minnesota AHJs
