What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair our customers’ commercial tractors and trailers.
- Write detailed work orders and perform mobile road calls and/or in-yard work.
- Provide quality customer service.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components.
- Perform preventative maintenance on fleet semi-trucks and trailers.
- Maintain hubs and axles and adjust or replace them when required.
- Inspect, service, and replace tractor and trailer parts, including tires.
- Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
- Ensure trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.
- Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.
- Respond promptly to client queries.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
- 5+ years of verified experience with commercial tractor and trailer repair.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
- Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete daily tasks.
- Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
- Experience with welding; certification a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school degree a plus.
- Class A CDL.
- Your own tools.
