We are currently looking for a Junior Salesperson to join the Institutional Fixed Income team in our Minneapolis office. We are seeking a driven, analytical, and personable Junior Salesperson to join our Institutional Fixed Income desk. This is a high-growth role designed for an individual who is eager to build a career in sales. The successful candidate will support senior salespeople in covering existing institutional accounts while gradually building their own book of business.

You will gain exposure to a wide array of credit products and work directly with traders and research analysts to generate trade ideas.

Responsibilities
  • Account Support & Management: Support senior sales staff in the daily coverage of institutional clients; process trade tickets, resolve settlement issues, and ensure accurate trade booking and reporting; maintain the CRM database with up-to-date client interactions, interests, and holdings
  • Market Analysis & Idea Generation: Monitor daily market movements, economic data, and news flow to summarize key trends for the sales desk and clients; collaborate with the Research and Trading desks to identify actionable trade ideas based on relative value analysis and market dislocations; distribute daily market commentary, run sheets, and inventory lists to clients
  • Client Prospecting: Assist in prospecting new accounts by researching potential clients, identifying key decision-makers, and setting up introductory meetings; over time, take ownership of a specific segment of smaller institutional accounts to cultivate relationships and drive revenue
  • Relationship Building: Attend industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events to represent the firm; build strong internal relationships with trading, research, and operations teams to facilitate smooth execution
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, management, or other related degrees
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial services
  • Foundational understanding of fixed income mathematics (yield, duration, convexity) and credit markets
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking with sophisticated investors
  • Strong proficiency in Excel required
  • High energy, resilient, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced trading floor environment
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses are required (or willingness to obtain within 120 days of employment)

Compensation

The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $55,000 - $85,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
