Business Development Manager
Atlas Toyota Material Handling is currently hiring a full-time Business Development Manager based out of our Brooklyn Park, MN location. The primary function of the role is to target a specific list of accounts to develop into major accounts in the Minneapolis Metropolitan area.
Your New Role- Consult with existing and potential customers to assess and understand the applications of material handling equipment & systems.
- Target large scale users of material handling equipment.
- Research & identify emerging accounts.
- Prepare and develop technical presentations to explain our company's products or services to customers.
- Assist with research and development of partnerships with vendors.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
- Generate high-quality sales leads, follow up after initial contact, secure and renew orders, negotiate prices, complete sales, and arrange deliveries.
- Research, develop and modify products to meet customers' technical requirements and needs.
- Help customers who have problems with installed products and recommend improved or upgraded materials and machinery.
- Solicit and log client feedback and evaluate the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.
- Identify areas for improvement and communicate these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
- A valid driver’s license.
- 5+ years of experience in the material handling industry.
- 10+ years of sales experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to sales.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Engineering field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Prior leadership experience is highly valued.
- A proven track record of successful material handling equipment sales.
