Position Overview
The Team Member is the core of the Caribou experience. They are responsible for creating day‑making experiences by delivering unparalleled guest service, making world‑class hand‑crafted beverages, and embodying Caribou’s Purpose and Values in every interaction.
Core Responsibilities- Guest Service
- Develop personal, ongoing relationships with guests.
- Practice active listening and connection.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively solve opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality.
- Make enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests.
- Create day‑making experiences that spark a chain reaction of GOOD.
- Hand‑craft beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures.
- Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings per standard operating procedures.
- Float between barista and guest‑service roles and willingly fulfill all team‑member responsibilities.
- Takes guest orders, manages cash drawer, and follows all cash‑handling policies.
- Maintain the look and feel of a well‑run store by following cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards.
- Actively think and act upon what the team and guest will need in the future.
- Differentiates between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support.
- Understands that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly takes direction from leaders.

- Required:
- Work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, holidays, or weekends.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Preferred:
- Restaurant, retail, or guest service experience.
Seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, and bending for 4–8 hours, moving intermittently during working hours. These demands may be accommodated with or without reasonable accommodations.
Compensation Range$11.23 – $18.71 per hour. Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations. Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position.
