The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for assuring compliance requirements of the Sun Country Airlines’ Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) are met by performing quality assurance oversight audits and in‑process inspections.
Responsibilities- Perform quality assurance audits and surveillance activities of the Aircraft Maintenance Department and other support departments
- Audit outsourced aircraft maintenance providers and parts suppliers for compliance
- Conduct audits related to SMS, SAS, IOSA, DoD, and EASA
- Identify hazards, perform risk analyses, assist in root‑cause analysis, and resolve hazards
- Perform follow‑up surveillance and monitor audit forecasts
- Assist in technical writing of documentation related to the audit process
- Represent the department in meetings
- Comply with all safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and internal policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Two or more years of related quality assurance auditing experience
- Previous experience in 14 CFR Part 121 technical operations
- High motivation with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively
- Strong reading and interpretation skills for federal regulations and airline technical manuals
- Ability to work extra hours when necessary
- Excellent communication, organizational, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines
- Professional collaboration skills
- Discrete handling of sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Ability to obtain an MSP SIDA badge
- Associate’s degree in a related field
$78,000.00–$90,000.00 (base salary)
ClassificationFull‑time, Exempt
Working LocationFully remote; employees may reside anywhere in the United States. Approximately 50% travel is required.
Supervisory ResponsibilityNone
Work EnvironmentProfessional office environment using standard office equipment.
Physical DemandsRegular talking, hearing, standing, walking, using hands; occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Requires good close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision.
