Our Minneapolis critical care float team is an integral part of nursing services within our critical care community. Team members work in the pediatric intensive care unit and cardiovascular intensive care unit, and they can expand their skills over time to provide support in other areas, including the emergency department and post‑anesthesia care unit. Our critical care units care for children with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses, including those with respiratory, neurological and cardiovascular origins.

Many patients require assisted ventilation or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). We value teamwork, open communication, safety, and respect, and we embrace an environment that encourages learning and professional growth. Coordinates and provides family‑centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.

THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Minnesota RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• One (1) year nursing experience in a hospital setting; pediatric experience preferred.
• Based on the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required. Department‑specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or obtained during orientation.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full‑time employment (40 standard hours per week); part‑time salaries are prorated based on scheduled weekly hours. Pay rates are determined by factors including market indicators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, internal equity, and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary, you may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend, or on‑call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay. All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of an occupational health assessment, drug screen, background investigation, and compliance with the U.S. Government Form I‑9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
