About the Position

Job Title:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Overview:

VHS is seeking highly skilled and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our team for a dynamic, ongoing assignment starting May 11, 2026. Required Skills:

Valid RN and CRNA licensure through the Minnesota Board of Nursing

Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital anesthesiology setting

Proficiency with Epic EMR system

Current ACLS/BLS Tier 2 certification

Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Ability to work independently within a supervised model, supporting a care team with a 4:1 patient-to-provider ratio

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with specialized procedures such as epidurals, spinals, or arterial lines (though not required)

Previous work in a tertiary care or academic hospital setting

Comfort with optional overnight or weekend shifts

Familiarity with anesthesia aids and emergency response protocols

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification

At least one year of post-licensure clinical experience in anesthesia care

Other Requirements:

Must reside at least 50 miles or more from Abbott Northwestern Hospital (MN residency restriction)

Availability for a minimum of two consecutive weeks per month, with a minimum of 36 hours per week during those weeks

Must successfully complete credentialing within 90-120 days

Willingness to participate in scheduled scheduled shifts, including 8, 10, 12, or 16 hours, with some optional overnight and weekend coverage

Beeper call coverage available, compensated as detailed in the benefits package
