Position Details

* Schedule:

Full-Time (40 hours/week) 4, 10 hour shifts

* Location:

Bloomington - MNGI Digestive Health

* Salary Range:
Starting range $40.39 - $46.45/hour (Where an applicant may fall on the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience & education)

Key Responsibilities

* Record patients' medical history and assessment.

* Start IV/saline lock.

* Perform INR and glucose testing.

* Prepare patients for and assist physician in endoscopy procedures.

* Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records in the electronic health record.

* Recovery of sedated patients and discharge assessments.

* Utilize proper infection control techniques.

* Monitor all aspects of patient care, anticipate patient and physician needs.

* Instruct individuals and families on topics such as health education and disease prevention.

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

* Infusion and injection administration

* Esophageal Motility/PH testing

* Assist with BRAVO Capsule placement

* Capsule studies

* Maintain supplies

* Charge Nurse

* Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and/or

Experience:

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing required

* One to two years of clinical experience is required

* GI related experience is preferred

* Experience using an Electronic Health Record is required
