Casual Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – PM&R
Position Summary:
This role is a casual position within the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine program at Children’s Minnesota. The Nurse Practitioner will manage complex patient care, evaluating pediatric patients with rehabilitation needs in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Collaboration with the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, a pediatric physiatrist, and other health‑care providers is essential.

Responsibilities- Evaluate and manage pediatric patients with complex rehabilitation needs in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Develop and implement holistic treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
- Document patient progress and coordinate care with other providers.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data collection to advance rehabilitation services.
- Adhere to all Children’s Minnesota policies and procedures.
- Current Minnesota RN license or eligible Minnesota APRN license.
- Required nursing certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Master’s degree or higher in nursing, with a focus on clinical specialization (Nurse Practitioner).
- Experience caring for pediatric patients in a rehabilitation, neurology, or orthopedics setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous learning.
