Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mental Health Float Pool department at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN.

The Mental Health Float Pool serves a wide spectrum of patients within the Behavioral Health department including children/adolescents, adults, and seniors.

This position will be working a 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks) on the night shift (7pm-7:30am). The shift length is 12 hours long and works every third weekend.

• Utilizing a detailed process to assess the physical and mental health needs of the patient, which will provide a framework from which patient care is planned [knows disease processes, therapy, complications, expected outcomes for specific patient population(s)]
• Contributing to the development of an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team providing a comprehensive plan of care.
• Administering medications according to a policy used for the management of behavioral patients with knowledge of actions, contraindications, side effects, and desired outcomes.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing interventions in meeting the identified emotional, psychological, and physical needs, making revisions based on these outcomes.

• Current RN Licensure and BLS required.
• 1 Year RN experience in mental health.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• 1-3 years ECT experience
• Geriatric Psych Experience

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
