PositionSummary
The Vascular Access Registered Nurse provides expert peripheral intravenous (PIV) and PICC line placements and other vascular‑access‑related tasks. The role includes developing and maintaining clinical expertise in PICC line placement, teaching and mentoring RNs on basic IV care, serving as a clinical resource for vascular‑access issues, working closely with staff to improve access flow and customer experience, and assisting in the development of this new program.
Education and Experience Requirements- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Minnesota nursing license.
- BLS certification.
- 2–3 years of pediatric nursing experience.
- Minimum 1 year of expertise in vascular access with children.
- Competence in assessment and treatment of vascular‑access device sites for all complications.
An informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager is required prior to awarding the position.
Compensation and BenefitsThe posted salary represents a market‑competitive range based on salary‑survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Pay is determined after considering market indicators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions requiring night, weekend or on‑call work may qualify for shift differentials or premium pay.
