DepartmentOverview
Our Minneapolis critical care float team is an integral part of nursing services in the pediatric intensive care unit and cardiovascular intensive care unit. Team members expand skills over time to provide support in the emergency department and post‑anesthesia care unit.
Position SummaryCoordinates and provides family‑centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. This is an MNA contract position.
Education & Experience Requirements- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Minnesota RN licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- One (1) year experience (within the last 2 years) working with a specialized patient population (e.g., Neurosciences, inpatient psychiatry). Pediatric experience preferred.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or to be obtained during orientation.
- Based upon the unit you are applying to, additional certifications may be required. Department‑specific qualifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions requiring night, weekend, or on‑call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
