Overview
Behavioral Health, Nurse Practitioner at North Memorial Health Robbinsdale Hospital – Robbinsdale, MN

Responsibilities- Deliver specialized care and treatment to individuals primarily within the Behavioral Health Unit; work in collaboration with inpatient and consult Behavioral Health Physicians.
- Provide holistic care to inpatients and their families; manage the patient load to allow providers to focus on patients’ health care.
- Act as a member of the hospital interdisciplinary team and facilitate continuum of care from admission through discharge.
- In collaboration with physician collaborators, establish diagnoses, plan medical therapeutics and interventions, and make referrals to other disciplines based on the medical database.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies within the collaborative agreement with physician collaborators.
- Evaluate and analyze patient responses to disease processes and therapies, and adjust the plan of care as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families and other key stakeholders.
- Present assessments, diagnoses and plans of care during medical team conferences and rounds.
- Collaborate with health care team members to implement and evaluate holistic patient care delivery.
- Provide leadership and participate in quality improvement programs and efforts to optimize resources and reduce unnecessary duplication.
- Document care and communicate with other care givers, including via the electronic health record; provide information for billing and ensure documentation complies with requirements.
- Minimum one year in clinical practice as a PMNHP.
- Education:
Master’s or higher degree in Nursing; current practice as a Nurse Practitioner in their area of specialization or documentation of current competency; certification prior to or during Master’s program.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota.
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, or pending certification up to six months after program completion; failure to pass certification may affect privileges, with reinstatement upon successful certification.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national nursing certification organization acceptable to the MN Board of Nursing (AANP, AACN, ANCC, NCC, PNCB, etc.).
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners with prescriptive authority must be licensed/certified as a Psychiatric/Mental Health NP by the State of Minnesota.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Current prescription and collaborative practice agreement with at least one collaborating physician.
Shift: Days, 8 hours;
Weekend requirements:
Weekends by department rotation;

On-site; FLSA:
Exempt.
Salary Range: $140,400 - $150,488 (base full-time). Benefit eligibility includes health insurance options based on eligibility.
