Job SummaryWorks as an active participant in the workflow and practice environment that touches all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, consultations and referral. Care includes pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, immediate newborn care, family planning and gynecologic needs. Ensures coordination of care for the patient in collaboration with other Perinatal, Neonatal and Birth Center team members.
Key Position Details- Team of 16 plus CNM across the system

- Support whole person population health care initiatives
- 7 CNM’s
- 2 days in clinic and 1:7 call
- Midwife self-schedule
- Collaborative, supportive and encouraging teammates

- Support whole person population health care initiatives
- CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services
- Midwifery collaborative support is provided by an in‑house OB and maternal fetal medicine groups
- Attend approximately 40–50 births per month with three affiliated clinics
- Provide natural birth experience highlighting nontraditional care in the hospital
- Follow standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse‑Midwives and Minnesota statute
- Maintain professional liability insurance including tail
- Bachelor's degree and Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing required
- Master's degree or doctoral in nursing or related field preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
- BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support required within 180 days
- AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required
Medium Work*:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy). Lifting weight up to 25 lbs frequently.
$125,000 to $140,000 per year.
