Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute - Vascular providers offer expertise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of a full spectrum of vascular conditions.

Key Position Details:

Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute - Vascular Wound Care Clinic is seeking a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join the practice.

  • .8 FTE position. No weekends, no holidays, no call.
  • Outpatient position.
  • This role will provide services at our Minneapolis location.
  • Team provides advanced wound care therapies for the full scope of wounds.
  • EMR:
    Epic is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.
Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:
  • Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
  • Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
  • Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
  • Refers for specialty care when determined.
  • Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
  • Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
  • Acts as resource to members of the team.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • New graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years of experience in wound care preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Master's degree completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
  • Wound education required through WebWOC within 12 months of hire.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC or AANP certification within specialty required upon hire.
  • BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $55.24 to $76.43 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
