Seed Coalition VISTA Leader

Overview

The Seed Coalition Community Corps VISTA Program strives to eliminate poverty by supporting campus/community partnerships that place full‑time support at community‑based organizations and higher education institutions. VISTA members serve at 15 host sites across Iowa and Minnesota, focusing on advancing equity for low‑income communities through capacity building in the areas of economic opportunity, education, and healthy futures. The VISTA Leader will support VISTA members in both Iowa and Minnesota by providing professional development and acting as a mentor throughout their terms of service.

The VISTA Leader will also support Seed Coalition staff with recruitment, training, reporting, and retention of members.

• Build relationships with VISTA members, conduct regular group check‑ins, and collaborate with the VISTA team.
• Support the Seed Co VISTA cohort through trainings and ongoing opportunities such as our communities of practice and other trainings or speakers.
• Develop a recruitment strategy that includes in‑person and digital recruitment.
