Program: Destiny Dads Fatherhood Support Program
Reports To: Program Director
Location: Community-based and correctional facilities
The Destiny Dads Program Coordinator oversees the coordination and delivery of a fatherhood support program focused on healing, accountability, and family engagement. This role provides group facilitation, one-on‑one goal setting, and family‑centered activities for fathers in community and jail‑based settings. The coordinator is also responsible for program documentation, data collection, and outcome reporting to ensure program effectiveness and accountability.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Facilitation & Direct Support
- Facilitate fatherhood support groups and healing circles in community and correctional settings.
- Provide one‑on‑one coaching and goal‑setting sessions with participating fathers.
- Apply trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and strengths‑based approaches.
Family Engagement & Activities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate monthly father‑child bonding activities.
- Collaborate with community partners, staff, and volunteers to implement events.
- Ensure activities align with program goals and promote healthy family relationships.
Program Coordination & Data Management
- Maintain accurate program documentation, including attendance, case notes, and goal plans.
- Collect and organize data for program outcomes, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with basic data analysis and program evaluation efforts.
Community & Partner Engagement
- Support outreach, recruitment, and referral efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and correctional facilities.
- Represent the Destiny Dads program at meetings and community events.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field.
- Experience facilitating groups or providing direct services in community‑based or supportive programs.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse, justice‑impacted, and substance‑involved populations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks for correctional facility access.
- Experience working in correctional, reentry, or fatherhood programs.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, healing circles, or restorative practices.
- Experience with program data collection and outcome tracking.
This position involves work in office, community, and correctional facility settings. Evening and weekend hours may be required for group sessions and family bonding activities.
