Director of Foundation Services and Annual Giving
The Director of Foundation Services and Annual Giving provides strategic leadership in fiscal administration, annual giving fundraising, and customer relationship management (CRM), crafting donor‑centered strategies and communications to strengthen donor engagement and advance the mission of North Hennepin Community College.
Responsibilities include:
- Fiscal Administration – Manage day‑to‑day financial operations, process donations and expenses, track endowment and restricted funds, budget, reconcile, and act as the primary contact for the Foundation’s annual audit.
- Fundraising – Develop and implement a comprehensive annual giving plan, write persuasive donor appeals and communications inspire generosity from alumni, employees, and friends of the college.
- CRM – Oversee Raiser’s Edge NXT, ensure accurate donor records and data integrity, and provide data analysis and reporting to support fundraising strategy and donor engagement.
This position plays a critical role in sustaining the Foundation’s ability to support students, programs, and campus priorities. The Foundation team encourages collaboration and continuous improvement in donor engagement.
Salary Range: $25.29 - $36.71 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications
- One year of fundraising experience with demonstrated success in annual fund giving campaigns.
- Experience using a constituent relationship management software program.
- Experience with nonprofit budget and financial procedures, including IRS regulations related to charitable donations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills for donor correspondence, including direct and e‑mail appeals, thank‑you letters, stewardship reports, and informational materials.
- Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and data management tools.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- 3+ years of fundraising and/or foundation services experience within higher education.
- Experience compiling the CASE VSE report.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with higher education institutions and community partners.
- Experience with endowment and scholarship management.
