Under the general supervision of the Leadership Annual Giving Director, the Leadership Annual Giving Officer cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors at the $1,000+ level, working through a prospect list provided by the research team to support general operating funding. The role also emphasizes referrals to Major Gift Officers and securing Planned Gifts, contributing to Planned Parenthood’s financial footing and philanthropic culture.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of professional experience in development or related field (sales, political organizing)
- Willingness to collaborate with high-level volunteers and cross‑disciplinary colleagues
- Valid driver’s license
- Availability for occasional travel, nights, weekends
- Demonstrated success soliciting funds from individual donors, preferably at the $1,000+ level
- Implement annual fund development programs supporting the operating budget, including solicitation, event participation, and engagement among identified supporter groups.
- Achieve individual annual fundraising goals, accruing at least $500k annually and maintaining a minimum of 50 weekly donor contacts.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward $1,000+ donors through multi‑channel engagement with effective written and verbal communication.
- Maintain meticulous record‑keeping of donor contacts and outcomes in the database per SOP.
- Grow the sustainer program by identifying and soliciting donors for potential upgrades to the $1,000+ level, securing Planned Gifts, and referring prospects to Major Gift Officers.
- Assist the Leadership Annual Giving Director in creating and executing strategic annual fundraising work plans.
- Provide stewardship to donor segments at leadership levels or likely to give leadership levels.
