Description
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and analyze assembly prints and specifications, and plan machine building operations.
- Fit and assemble components according to specifications and test for conformance to specification and operation.
- Align components for assembly and assemble parts using hand tools.
- Verify conformance of parts to prints using measuring instruments.
- Assemble, set up and operate machines to verify functioning, machine capabilities and conformance.
- Form and fasten pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures and attachments required to service machines with air, water and oil.
- May install wiring and electrical components to specifications.
- Debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation.
- Fabricates and modifies parts as required.
- Layout hole locations: drill and tap holes on parts for assembly.
- Set up and operate metalworking machines to fabricate or modify parts.
- Completes routing and plumbing to junction boxes, maintain electrical panels and terminals.
- Fabricates brackets for mounting boxes.
- Runs wires and cables from components to junction boxes, main electrical panels and terminals.
- Make wire lists and bundles.
- Disassembles electrical systems on machines.
- Reinstalls, rewires and tests machinery at customer facilities.
- Perform installation, debug, repair and other field service duties that require off-site travel.
Salary range = $31- $36 per hour
Qualifications- Education:
Associate or better in Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred. - Experience:
4-6 years;
Experience in machining or machine building and panel wiring. - Required:
Basic awareness of NFPA 79, UL 508A, CE Industry standards for electrical;
Knowledge of fits, tolerances, alignment of mechanical components, and an understanding of actuators as well as mechanical functions and systems;
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical prints and schematics in machine and panel wiring.
