Virtual Infrastructure Migration Engineer (Weekends)

Summary

* We are seeking a hands-on Virtual Infrastructure Migration Engineer to support a VMware-to-Verge.io migration. This is an execution-focused role working under a lead architect and project manager, responsible for migrating Windows servers, validating results, and supporting production cutovers.

Responsibilities

* Migrate Windows servers from VMware to Verge.io, following the defined procedures.

* Install/Validate drivers and adjust disk or network settings as needed.

* Validate OS, networking, storage, and application functionality.

* Support cutovers and rollback activities during maintenance windows.

* Update migration documentation and tracking tools.

Requirements

* 3-5 years of experience administering Windows Server in VMware environments.

* Ability to follow runbooks with strong attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

* Weekend availability.

Preferred

* Experience with Verge.io or KVM-based platforms.

* Experience with scheduled maintenance window support.
