Pilot Plant Technician Job Description
The role of a Pilot Plant Technician involves independently setting up, sanitizing, and operating equipment for trials. This position requires providing support to various platforms, focusing on either the Cereal or Pet Platform, depending on the team. Occasional heavy lifting of 50lb bags for mixing and setting up pilot plants using hand tools is involved.
Responsibilities- Execute and document analytical tests, panels, and minor experiments.
- Procure and manage materials, and maintain pilot plant spaces.
- Perform basic equipment setup, teardown, and sanitation.
- Safely operate large equipment such as mixers, valves, and pumps.
- Understand food safety requirements and perform risk assessments.
- Assist the Product Development team in creating food products on a production line.
- Determine production setups, verify finished products, and change production setups over trials.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree with 1-3 years of experience in production, machine operation, labor roles, or warehouse.
- Ability to lift, manipulate and transport up to 55 lbs.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
