Position: Buyer / Planner

Buyer/Planner - Medical Device OEM

Location: Twin Cities Metro
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000

Overview

A fast‑growing medical device OEM in the Twin Cities metro is seeking a skilled Buyer/Planner to join their operations team. This role is ideal for someone who excels at converting demand plans into accurate supply plans, executing purchasing activities with precision, and ensuring materials and inventory flow smoothly through the production process. You will work with a focused set of commodities, playing a hands‑on role in maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material & Production Planning:
    Develop and manage material and production plans that align with demand forecasts and operational goals

  • Procurement & PO Management:
    Create, issue, and track purchase orders to vendors while ensuring cost, quality, and delivery expectations are met

  • Supplier & Delivery Coordination:
    Monitor supplier delivery schedules, resolve component shortages or delays, and maintain strong communication with vendors

  • Inventory Management:
    Track, analyze, and maintain inventory levels to meet company targets, avoiding shortages or excess stock

  • ERP Utilization:
    Work within the company's ERP system to manage orders, inventory data, and production planning.
    Quick Books familiarity beneficial

Qualifications
  • Experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain operations-preferably within a medical device manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory management best practices
  • Proficiency with ERP systems;
    Quick Books familiarity beneficial
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to execute tasks accurately and consistently
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, suppliers, and production teams
